This is the closest airport to the rink and is located about 20 miles from the rink. Easy to rent cars, Uber/Lyft, or take public transit.
San Diego is south of the Orange County and Los Angeles Area. Airports in this area could be used and a train or car rental can get you to San Diego in a couple of hours.

The airports are good places to rent cars. We recommend making advance registrations as it is a busy weekend and agencies can run out of cars.
Uber and Lyft operate in the area and are an alternative means of getting around to and from airports, hotels and the rink.
San Diego has great public transit. Note you would still need a bus or other connection to get to rink.
See if your fellow ice dancers are going and if you can catch a ride with them. Friday night traffic can take a while. Be prepared.
